Thonet meeting
Meeting w Russell at Thonet:
- story of furniture important selling point + builds relationship between people and objects
- working with property agents - providing furniture bundles for short- to mid-term tenants
- working w homestagers, developers - already doing it with executives
- price check w items on website
- untapped market
- leasing out high end furniture might not worth time/cost - would cost a lot for consumers
- some products get better w age eg. leather couch, wooden table
- ask about repairs?
- so many chairs already in existence - not keen to make more in NZ
- NZ designed chairs not v cool
- trade and retail prices
Been in the furniture market for quite some time, was worried about price (based on his product) and how we would maintain the quality of each item. Also concerned about the end life of the product. Once we are finished with it where does it go? what would happen
